Our good friends at Rhythm & Brews are hosting yet another benefit concert for Mom. The concert will be Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at 6:00pm. Bands will hopefully include: The Malemen, Overland Express, and Musical Moose. Bands will go on at 8:00pm and it will be a no-smoking show. Admission will be $10 at the door.

Mom is looking forward to spending time with everyone and enjoying the music. See you there!

Wow!

The fundraising benefit was a monumental success! We were all blown away with the support Chattanooga gave Mom. She has been reading through all the cards, comments, emails that everyone has sent her and is totally overwhelmed. Everyone's love and support is exactly what she needs! Rhiannon, Zoe and I went to see Mom today and she is doing well. She has another CAT scan next week and begins round 3 of Chemo at Memorial.

Fundraiser Concert for Marsha

For those of you that don't know, several of mom's biggest fans are having a fundraiser for her at Rhythm & Brews on January 16th, 2010 at 5:00pm. If you loved the music at the Brass Register, then you have mom to thank for it. What better way to thank her than to go see some of those bands you saw back in the day. Members of Overland Express, Musical Moose, The Pool, The Beaters, David Sterchi Band and more will perform. And, of course, the concert will be a NO SMOKING show.

Update...

I just wanted to give everyone a status update. I had the first round of Chemo and it went well. I'm waiting on getting radiation now. I wanted to thank everyone for your prayers and support. Just knowing you're all there watching my back... I'll try to keep everyone up-to-date.

Love,
Marsha

Stereotactic Radiotherapy...

Today, mom is at Erlanger receiving Stereotactic Radiotherapy. She went in early this morning and had a "halo" attached to her head. She will be given a precise dose of radiation to kill the small lung cancer tumor in her brain. Bill and I got to go with her yesterday to see the video tutorial for the procedure. It was very interesting.

Mom is doing well and will receive the radiation this afternoon. I will post more when the procedure is done.

Homecoming...

Mom is done with her first Chemotherapy treatment and is home. She is a little groggy and somewhat weaker than usual. Hopefully tonight she will get a good night's sleep and rest. Tomorrow, the family and I will be heading down to Wildwood to hang out for the day and maybe catchup with visiting friends.

Thanks for all your support, again. Next week, mom will begin radiation treatment at Erlanger for the small tumor in her brain. I will do my best to keep everyone up to speed on everything.

Christmas Decorations...

Thanks to everyone for writing both on this site and the Brass Register Memories Facebook group. I've spent the morning attempting to finish putting up Christmas decorations. I spoke to Mom on the phone this morning and she is doing good. "A little tired, " she said, "but good." Rhiannon, Zoe and I will be going down to visit her in the next hour or two. I will bring my laptop so she can read and/or respond to you all. I may even attempt to sign her up for facebook.

Anyway, I will update you all if anything changes. Keep up the support. We love you all.

Information, etc...

As we go along, I'll try my best to post status updates and information. Currently, mom is at Memorial Hospital and is doing well. She has been tested, scanned, poked and prodded. Her health care providers seem to be doing an excellent job and are really on-top of things. She started Chemotherapy last night and seems to be taking it very well.

She loves hearing from everybody and seeing old friends.
